I first became properly aware of reflexology as a therapy in 2015, when I accompanied my mum to one of her daycare sessions at the amazing St Francis Hospice. She absolutely loved the treatment, both the opportunity to relax and feel pampered and the actual physical benefits she got from a number of sessions. Seeing the positive and uplifting effects on her while in the midst of her cancer treatment, really ignited my interest. I will always be grateful to that volunteer therapist for giving her time to my mum and introducing me in such a positive way to this therapy.
Ultimately, another later bereavement to cancer in my private life changed my personal circumstances radically and having to start again from scratch I chose to completely change direction. Leaving the hospitality industry after more than 20 years, I took a leap of faith to follow my heart and begin my journey on the holistic therapy path. Having completed my ITEC Diploma with Distinction in Reflexology, Anatomy & Physiology at the brilliant Holistic College Dublin, I then completed the post graduate course in Oncology & Palliative Reflexology with Green Tara College. Being accepted as a full member of the National Register of Reflexologists Ireland enabled me to commit to continued professional development in further holistic therapies and I am enjoying adding new treatments as I progress.
I have found that receiving reflexology treatments myself has been a positive way to alleviate symptoms of grief but to provide treatment to clients that benefits them, has been even more healing.
I look forward to welcoming you for a treatment soon.
